What are the PEI Boating License requirements?
If operating a power-driven boat or a PWC in Prince Edward Island you are required to have a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card).
In Prince Edward Island, there is no minimum age to obtain your boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) but there are horsepower restrictions for anyone under 16 years of age operating a boat.

The Canada Shipping Act, 2001 is the principal legislation governing safety of marine transportation and recreational boating, as well as protection of the marine environment in Prince Edward Island.
Boating and Alcohol in PEI
The consumption of alcohol while operating a boat in Prince Edward Island is illegal, the same rules that apply to drinking and driving in Prince Edward Island apply. You can be fined a minimum of $230 or imprisoned.
