How to change my address for my Boating License in Ontario?
It is the law for anyone operating a powered craft in Ontario to possess a boating license (or other proof of competency).
It is important to update the address associated with your license when you move. MyBoatCard.com® makes this process easy!
How to request an address change to my boating license in Ontario?
To request a change of address associated with your boating license (also known as a Pleasure Craft Operator Card), you will first need to confirm that your boating license was issued by MyBoatCard.com®.
Only the original boating license provider can change your address on the Transport Canada database. To check which provider issued your PCOC – have a look at the front of your card, it should have the provider’s name on the bottom left-hand corner of the card.
If MyBoatCard.com® issued your original boating license (PCOC), simply email support@myboatcard.com and include the following in your email:
- A photo of your existing Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
- A photo of a recent utility bill that shows your new address
When your email has been received and processed by MyBoatCard.com®, you will receive an email to confirm that your address has been successfully updated on the Transport Canada database.
How much does it cost to change the address to my boating license in Ontario?
There is no cost to update your address on the Transport Canada database. Simply email support@myboatcard.com your new address and we will update the database for you free of charge.
How to correct an error on your boater license in Ontario
Please send an email to support@myboatcard.com with the following:
- Copy of your existing Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
- Copy of your photo I.D. (driver’s license or passport) – that clear shows your name
- Shipping address where you would like to receive the cards
- The number of updated cards you would like to receive
